The Association for PRINT Technologies (APTech) is seeking nominations of qualified individuals to serve on our Board of Directors. Board members represent the needs of the industry and are instrumental in helping APTech shape the future of print. The board has responsibilities for governance and leadership of APTech’s programs and activities and it is comprised of representatives from all areas of the print industry value chain including manufacturers, suppliers, and print service providers.

Nominees for the Board of Directors must be employed by an APTech member organization. Candidates will be included on the ballot to be distributed by October 23, 2020 with elections to be held during an APTech membership meeting on December 8, 2020.

Interested applicants should provide the information as outlined in “How to submit a nomination” below. Nominations must be received by October 4, 2020 for consideration.

APTech is a 501(c)(6) trade association. The Association for Print Technologies, formerly known as NPES, is a purpose-driven organization dedicated to supporting the entire commercial printing value chain. APTech strives to help its members maximize alignment with their value chain partners to be more effective and competitive.

Every board member must actively participate-in and attend all scheduled board meetings including two in-person meetings (maybe held via video conference) and several scheduled conference calls each year as an active member of the board or as a member of a committee or task force. Board terms are three years; board members may serve no more than two consecutive terms.

APTech’s Board Election Process

Members of the Board of Directors are elected at the Annual Meeting of the Association to be held via video conference on December 8, 2020.

The Board Nominating Committee will carefully consider all nominations. All nominees will be contacted to confirm a willingness and ability to serve.

On or before October 23, 2020 sample ballots will be electronically delivered to members’ delegate representatives.

2020 Timeline

  • September 4, 2020: Call for nominations
  • October 4, 2020: Nominations close
  • Oct 23: Announce slate for vote at annual meeting
  • Dec 8: Annual meeting and board elections

How to Submit a Nomination

Persons interested in being considered for nomination to the Board of Directors must provide the following information to tlong@aptech.org.

  • Name, employer, title, and phone and email information
  • Provide a brief statement as to why you would make a good representative on the APTech Board of Directors.
  • If available, you may provide a URL to your individual’s LinkedIn page.

You may submit a colleague for consideration following the above guidelines with their details.

Nominations must be received no later than October 4, 2020 to be accepted.

An acknowledgement of receipt will be provided to each nominee upon submission of his or her nomination.
