The Association for PRINT Technologies Announces Winners of GAERF 2019 Student Design Competition

Reston, VA—The Association for PRINT Technologies (APTech) announces the winners of the GAERF 2019 Student Design Competition. Now in its eleventh year, the annual contest calls on students to demonstrate their knowledge of designing for and producing a printed product; executing the steps from design concept to file preparation to printed output. The 2019 competition themed, “GREETINGS!”, challenged students from secondary and post-secondary institutions to design and produce a printed greeting card for the occasion of their choice; expressing a sentiment in a unique way that appeals to a broad audience. Entries were judged on their unique expression, clear identification of the greeting card theme, widespread appeal, and correct use of any optional printing enhancements.

An independent panel of industry judges chose six winners from among the 287 entries—three at the secondary school level and three at the post-secondary school level.
