CGATS.20 and ISO 16612-1 (PPML/VDX) have both been superseded by the ISO 16612-2:2010 (PDF/VT-1 and -2) and 16612-3:2020 (PDF/VT-3) standards which have been more broadly adopted by variable data print (VDP) solution vendors and users. It is highly recommended that implementors of VDP solutions presently or considering supporting PPML/VDX implement equivalent support for PDF/VT instead.
